In 2008 cyclist Gerard Poels from Grave near Nijmegen started the site (English),  (Deutsch)), to counter the excuse:

“I am not going to take the bike to work because it always rains (in the Netherlands)“

In the past 9 years it rained during an average of 9.8% of his rides, each of which took 17 km, 40 minutes each way. He counts every little shower even if it rains for just a few minutes. He claims it happens only 4 or 5 times each year that it rains during the entire ride. During those 8 years Poels rode his bike to and from work 2838 times.

On oktober 30st 2013 I held a short presentation for Quantified Self Amsterdam.
Yes! It is in English (not very good English, but I did my best ;-))
I describe the start and the purpose of

droog - nat

droog - droog

Eerste 2 ritten na de herfstvakantie: droog! 🙂
